"access-list logging rate-limited or missed 1 packet"

I am testing reflexive ACL's and logging the traffic denied (to a syslog server, which I haven't had a reason to do before). Most the log entries have a message of "access-list logging rate-limited or missed 1 packet" (or 2 packets, 3...). What does that indicate?

Re: "access-list logging rate-limited or missed 1 packet"

Hi,

Some packet matching logs were missed because the access list log messages were rate-limited or no

access list log buffers were available.

Try to increase the log buffer

Thanks

Nadeem
