R vs UR on PIX- how to identify

Here's the output of sh ver on my PIX515E:

0: ethernet0: address is 0009.e8bf.6972, irq 10

1: ethernet1: address is 0009.e8bf.6973, irq 11

2: ethernet2: address is 0002.b303.b721, irq 11

Licensed Features:

Failover: Disabled

VPN-DES: Enabled

VPN-3DES: Disabled

Maximum Interfaces: 3

Cut-through Proxy: Enabled

Guards: Enabled

URL-filtering: Enabled

Inside Hosts: Unlimited

Throughput: Unlimited

IKE peers: Unlimited

Doesn't Throughput =Unlimited and Inside Hosts = Unlimited means this PIX has an UNRESTRICTED license?

FYI - It runs v6.2(2).

Thanks.

Re: R vs UR on PIX- how to identify

U and UR refer to features (failover, max memory, max interfaces) and not connections/throughput. Those parameters are leftover from the "old days" when the 520 was licensed by connections. Thank god those days are over!

You have a Restricted firewall. You can tell by the max. number of interfaces allowed: 3. UR would allow 6. Also UR would suppot Failover.
