Klaus,

You can do a password recovery on the VPN3000 and reset the password. Make sure that you use a straight through cable to console into the VPN3000.

Please refer the below URL for details:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2284/products_password_recovery09186a008009434f.shtml

Factory Defaults:

You can go to File Management option by going under Administration > File Management and delete the files "Config" and

"Config.bak" along with any other file that you see listed. And then reboot the device

without saving the configs.

How can I set the VPN Concentrator back to factory defaults?

A. From the File Management screen, delete the "config" file and reboot. If this file is deleted accidentally, a backup copy, "config.bak" is kept.

Please refer the below URL for details:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2284/products_qanda_item09186a0080094cf4.shtml

I hope it helps.

Arul
