Remote private wan connectivity loss to 3005

I have a core 3660 router with 192.168.1.1/24 e0 address. This connects to 3524 switch which that also has connection to 3005 with 192.168.1.2/24 address. Both are on vlan 1. Core 3660 router can ping the 3005 and visa versa. Remote site via private wan(not tunneled) can ping e0 on router, but cannot reach the 3005 private interface. 3005 can reach remote site e0 with 192.168.10.1 address( static routes configured on 3005). No filter on private interface. Current version is 3.5.

I perform traceroutes from the remote site to other devices on same subnet without any problems, but the traceroute to the 3005 dies on the 3660 core router. I would have to believe this has something to due with the 3005.

Any troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Remote private wan connectivity loss to 3005

Hi,

I am not sure but Static routes on 3005 could be a problem.

Just check out changing ( just to test ) the routing scheme.

THis migh help.

Regds,

Nikh.
