RFC 1918

i want to know the exact reason to deny the ip packets that contain an IP address from RFC 1918 or multicast address ,i know that these are not routable , but if i dont deny them ,what problem i will have in my router???

This is typically used to prevent anti-spoofing - preventing a packet from the outside that has a source address as same as an inside network. Here is a good link to explain.
