Router Shunning

Hi,

What is router shunning and how can i configure it on IDS 4235.

Hi,

Shunning are dynamic access-list. IDs chacking the alarms and if attack is acuure, it's dynemiclly gerate the access-list to block the attack. This blocking functionality can be configured on PIX, Router and Cat6K. IDS use shun command to block the attack on PIX so it's called shunning. IDS use access-list for routers and Cat6K switches.
