schedule a dial backup on IOS?

Can I configure an IOS router to dial out on a scheduled basis? I have 25 sites that I want to dial out every night at midnight and stay up for 30 minutes so I can make updates to the configuration. None of them have broadband and they are all dial on demand with ports 53, 80 and 443 as interesting traffic

Is this possible?

Re: schedule a dial backup on IOS?

Just an idea will be to use time-based access-list on the dialer-list. The dialer list can permit ip traffic on the link only at the specified times.

Never tried it before. Let me know if it works out for you

Re: schedule a dial backup on IOS?

You can use the kron of Cisco IOS to schedule a ping / telnet to a specified destination from the router to initiate a dialout.
