Searching network drives via VPN

I have users logging into my VPN (Cisco Pix 515E). They can ping, map drives, but they cannot use the windows search function to look for files/docs etc.

Any ideas would be greatly apperciated.

Hi Jim

Are you able to get the users to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP on the adapter that you use to connect to the domain, this is done by:

Go to the Properties of the Ethernet Adapter.

Select TCP/IP and click Properties.

Click Advanced.

Click the WINS tab.

Check the Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP option

Then log on.
