Secret Password Recovery

3600 Router...

The 'secret' password for 'enable' has flown from the minds of those who originally programmed it, although they ALWAYS use the same one. :(

I have found the following article on resetting the password:

My question... if I accurately follow the instructions, will the current configuration of the router be lost (sans 'secret password')??

The config will not be lost. It will just be ignored so that you can enter a new password. Don't forget to change the config back to 0x2102 after you recover the password.
