Seeing pix connections on a real time basis

Hi,

Does the output of "show connections" command show the active connections or a history of connections established through the pix? For the purpose of trouble shooting i wanted to see the live connections through the pix firewall on a real time basis. Can i see the connections as they get established through a telnet or console sessions with out using any debugging? Also Is there any freeware available which can check a unix based syslog for a particular message and perform an action like sending an e-mail to the administartor

thanks,

jimmy

Re: Seeing pix connections on a real time basis

The output of the command shows the active connections only. An active connection might or might not be in use, but has not been timed-out. I guess that the only way to see the active connections without using debugging is to keep re-entering the command repeatedly.
