Sensor Upgrade

I have a problem concerning Sensor Upgrade.

I would like to upgrade a IDS-4230-FE sensor

originally installed version 2.2.1.x to version 2.5.

The sensor has 6.4GB IDE HDD.

I am using a Sensor Recovery CD-ROM labeled

as follows:

"Sensor Software

Version 2.5

IDS 4230-xx

IDS 4210-xxxx

NRS-xx Appliances

NRS-xx DM Appliances"

After finishing the installation, it stalls at reboot.

It shows:

The second time I reboot the sensor,

entering "Bus Enumeration" screen of the Solaris

Device Configuration by pressing F2 key,

and executing the device scanning, it shows:

----------------------------------------------

"Determining bus types and gathering hardware

configuration data ..."

----------------------------------------------

it stalls again here.

Have anyone experienced this problem?

Have you tried installing it again?

Please verify that the correct CD is used.

There are 2 CDs for 3.5 sensors.

The first CD installs on the IDS-4230, IDS-4220, and NRS-xx appliances (Large grey sensors)

The second CD is only for the IDS-4210 appliances (small blue sensors), but I don't know if the installation is smart enough to check to ensure that the sensor is a IDS-4210 sensor.

Also there have been problems with different keyboards and monitors. Once the sensor has been reloaded by CD try unplugging the keyboard and powering on and off the sensor.

Thank you for your advice.

Sorry for not writing you soon.

I found that the monitor I was using was causing

the problem.

I plugged off the monitor from the sensor, then the

sensor booted up.

Also, when I attached another 17" monitor, the sensor

started up.

The monitor causing the problem is:

SOTEC MC-17K01

(17" MULTI-SCAN COLOR MONITOR)

Every time I try this questionable monitor, the sensor

stalls at the following boot sequence.
