Hi,

I have the CSPM v. 2.3.3i (build 2466) connected to an IDS 4230 v. 3.0(5)S21.

When I attempt to block a host or network in CSPM the following message displays: "Does not have proper services enabled".

The following services are enabled on the IDS box.

>idsstatus

netrangr 490 1 0 May 18 ? 0:06 /usr/nr/bin/nr.fileXferd

netrangr 425 1 0 May 18 ? 4:04 /usr/nr/bin/nr.postofficed

netrangr 491 1 0 May 18 ? 44:45 /usr/nr/bin/nr.packetd

netrangr 470 1 0 May 18 ? 5:24 /usr/nr/bin/nr.sapd

netrangr 456 1 0 May 18 ? 0:07 /usr/nr/bin/nr.loggerd

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

you are missing managed (/usr/nr/bin/nr.managed)

Jim

You need to configuring the blocking tab in CSPM.

The sensor has to configured to manage a Cisco Router, Switch, or Pix Firewall to do the blocking.

Thanks Jim,

That did the trick. Somehow this was removed during the last update. ??
