I'm seeing a lot of our internal boxes supposedly attacking 207.46.134.16, one of Windows update servers, via sig 5403. The context buffer doesn't have any data. Is any one else seeing false positives with this signature?

Yes, we're seeing a lot of false positives, and some are directed at windowsupdate.microsoft.com. When I look at the context buffer, it says "Attacker Context:" and it's blank after that.

We are aware of a false positive situation, but we need more information to diagnose the problem customers are seeing. If possible, could you capture some iplogs of the false alarms and send them to mcerha@cisco.com.

A fix for this issue has been included in signature update S81, which is available on CCO now. The DDTS# is CSCee07596.
