Signature Info Question

Is there a way to find out when particular sigid's were disabled, ie. what signature update?? The NSDB has a field for when it was released, but what about when they are retired/disabled??

In general, this information is in the readme file for each signature update.

The New Signature sections will tell you whether the signature was initially created in a enabled or disabled state, and the Tuned Signatures section will tell you if this has changed for any signatures in that release.

If you would like the retired/disabled information added to the NSDB, then I would suggest contacting the TAC and asking them to enter a DDTS enhancement request for the NSDB. Development would then consider whether or not to add that field in a future version of the NSDB.

In the 4.1(3) Service Pack readme there is reference to a specific DDTS listing the retired/disabled signatures because the list was to long to include in the readme:
