Simultaneous access to VPN and local resources with cisco client 3.5.1

Hi!

I installed cisco vpn client in an office with 5 PCs. At the remote site i have a cisco 3005. I enabled local lan access but when i was connected through the vpn i couldn´t browse the microsoft local network. I added names an IP addresses to the file hosts in each station but it didn´t browse the local network either. The hosts are running WIN 98. What could i change so as i can browse my local network while connected?

thanks in advance,

Nuria

Can you pingf your local network? Ig not, there may be something wrong with the local access configured on the concentrator. Revisit the network list you created.

You can try and enable split tunneling as well.

There is a note in the Help screen of the client in the Allowing local LAN access section:

While connected, you cannot print or browse the local LAN by name ( hostname or printername ); when disconnected, you can print and browse by name. For more information on this limitation, refer to VPN Client Administrator Guide , Chapter 1.

This sounds like your problem.
