Site to Site VPN with same private LAN

Hi.

We have a requirement to setup an IPSEC VPN using 2 ASA 5520s between 2 of our sites.

The problem we have is that both sites use the same private IP range; 10.101.1.0 / 24.

Is there a way using (possibly using NAT_ to enable this to work?

SITE A:

LAN 10.101.1.0 / 24

PEER 33.33.33.33

SITE B:

LAN 10.101.1.0 / 24

PEER 44.44.44.44

Help!

Mike,

Please see attached link, you need Policy NAT implementation .

Re: Site to Site VPN with same private LAN

that example doesn't quite fit.

what i want is both sides of the VPN to act as if they are within the same broadcast domain?

in a similar way that OpenVPN bridges 2 subnets with its TAP interfaces.

is there a way to do this with Cisco kit?

both ends of the VPN have the same subnet
