SNMP Monitor AS5300 through VPN Concentrator from private LAN

I'm trying to monitor a couple of AS5300's using mrtg from the private side of the network. The public interface on the VPN has the default public filter applied. My routing entries would appear to be correct as I can see the public interface on the VPN but nothing beyond that. Do I need to change something on the public filter or is there more to it than this. Any help would be appreciated

Re: SNMP Monitor AS5300 through VPN Concentrator from private LA

I had similar case before from our customers.

The VPN 3000 concentrator is a router, even we totally took out the filter and put none filter there, you still can not route from inside to outside or route from the outside to the inside.

Without a VPN tunnel, you can not route through the concentrator.

That is the way concentrator working.

What I have done last time providing a workaround is put a DMZ connection from the outside to the monitor system to bypass the VPN concentrator.

In that way I resolve my customer's problem.

Hope it will be helpful to you as well.
