SP and Signature Update Trouble.

Hello,

We have investigated trouble between Sensor and Director which occured after upgrade 3.1(3)S42 to 3.1(4)S55

Adding, We checked that results I execute "nrstatus" and "nrconns" command and output.log(sp-update and sig-update) were OK.

We don't know reasons of this trouble at all.

Have you ever experiance such a problem?

Do you think errorlog below and others regard as the problem?

Re: SP and Signature Update Trouble.

Are these errors on the Director or the sensor?

Can you forward the output of an "ls -lR /usr/nr/tmp"

Also, make sure that there is sufficient space on that partition by doing a "df -k /usr/nr/tmp".

Nothing except error about sema.

Re: SP and Signature Update Trouble.

Here are some ideas that could cause this

- nrstop is issued while another nrstop is in progress

- nrstop is issued and postofficed is then killed by another command

- two postofficed's are running and nrstop is issued

Somehow, nrstop gets past the initial check to see if postofficed is running, and then the postofficed communication queues go away before nrstop tries to register or unregister with postoffice.

If there are no runtime symptoms, then these errors can be ignored. If there are runtime symptoms, then you may need to do an nrstop and remove all files and directories in the /usr/nr/tmp/queues directory and then reboot.
