Spanning Ports from Multiple Layer 3 Hops Away

Has anyone had experience in spanning switch ports that are multiple Layer 3 hops away from the network sniffing workstation?

Hi

You should look at ERSPAN. It uses a GRE tunnel to transport the traffic accross the routed network.

Hope this helps
