SSH and Sensors

What is Cisco's position on using SSH on the IDS Sensor Appliances (supported, no support)? I would rather have SSH running to allow the use of sftp rather than ftp to copy logs. I'm sure if it's not a part of the sensor software, it is probably unsupported, but it's worth asking. SSH may be the way to go for future updates. My $0.02.

SSH is not offically supported at this time on any sensor prior to rev 3.0. 3.0 will be the first sensor shipped with SSH fully supported. That said, we have heard of users attempting to install it on older sensors, but your mileage will vary. I believe that IPSEC is supported on 2.5 and later versions of the sensor software (not what you asked, but just so you know).
