SSH connection failing after a password change

Hi, I am using a 2851 ISR. We recently changed password through SDM and removed telnet access.

I can still access the router with the new password through the SDM web interface, but direct SSH connections are failing. We did uncheck telnet access. But I can't find out why ssh wont connect. Unchecking telnet, I can log back into router, but I want ssh only.

I created a another level 15 account and its working with telnet off and ssh only, but the orignal acocunts are access-denied. Im puzzled that they will allow sdm access, but fail if I ssh back in. They have priv lvl 15.

Any tips on where to start?

I just can't type I guess :) I somehow kept mistyping pw only when trying to get in via ssh!

Re: SSH connection failing after a password change

You can try by removing your original accounts and then logging back through SDM, then disable telnet and again create those original accounts.
