Re: Ssh with Pix

Hi, you will need either des or 3des to get ssh access. You can get a des license from Cisco for free if you need from.....

http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/ciscosecure/pix.shtml

You will need a valid CCO login to get to that url.

After you get that key here is a document to get ssh configured on the PIX...

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/authtopix.shtml#localSSH

The document shows how to do local and AAA authentication.

Hope that helps and good luck....

Re: Ssh with Pix

DES is probably enabled in your PIX, but you need to use SSH protocol version 2. If your SSH client doesn't support version 2, download PuTTY from

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

This worked on my PIX 515.
