Does anyone know if SSL connections will be an option for the 3000 series later this year. We are looking into a VPN solution for our company and we would like SSL as a option with the VPN. I read in the link below from Cisco that it might be an added option by the end of the year for the 3000 series.
Thanks,
-Dave

Cisco® believes that companies may use both remote SSL-based and IPSec VPN technologies to connect user communities depending on their access environments and access requirements. To address this requirement, Cisco intends to use our widely deployed IPSec VPN infrastructure and products to deliver SSL-based VPN services as well. This strategy will ease deployment and management by using
existing installed infrastructure, while preserving customer investments in existing VPN equipment. Delivery will begin with the Cisco
VPN 3000 Concentrator in the second half of 2003.

Yes, this is scheduled for inclusion in the 4.1 version of concentrator code, which *should* be out before the end of the year. No release dates in concrete as yet, but the end of the year should be OK.

Thanks for the update info. I can use it as ammo against buying nortel or checkpoint vpns.
