Standby problems with VPN 5000 Client on Windows XP

I am running VPN 5000 Client on Windows XP. Connection works perfectly fine. Actually I have the feeling the initial connection is faster compared with W2K.

My problem is, that after installation of the client, my laptop (XP Home) can not go to standby and hibernate any more.

When I try to go to standby, I get a message similar as "WAN Miniport Cisco VPN Client is preventing the system to go to standby". Trying to go to hibernate crashes the machine.

I tried various clients (5.0x, 5.1.7x) with no improvement.

Any help greatly appreciated

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

Thank you for posting.
