Starting an ISP . . need protection

I am thinking about starting an ISP for wireless point to point links to rural residential customers who can not get a land line HS connection.

A major high speed provider will be providing me with the bandwidth however I want to protect my clients and my ISP.

This is going to be a small operation and I am looking at doing this as cheaply as possible.

Can you please suggest a cost effective router/broadband router/firewall that I can place between my network and the POP? If the business takes off I can always upgrade.

Thanks

The ASA 5500 with unlimited user support can be had for under $700.

If all you need is a basic firewall, and you have spare equipment lying about...a Linux based firewall can work nicely too.

as long as we're suggesting open source solutions, OpenBSD works well too (:
