Hi,
Is it possible to use a Virtual Interface on the PIX (when 802.1q trunking enabled) for stateful Failover Information?
A serial cable will still be used for regular failover.

Nope, sorry. The stateful failover link still needs to be a dedicated physical interface due to the sheer amount of traffic that is sent across this connection in most cases. Hope this helps.

hi,,
No u can`t use virtual interface for stateful failover.u have to use dedicate cable.
For regular F.O u need use serial or ethenet cable
For serail === below 6feet
lan cable ===== above 6feet
