Static IP address assignment

We are currently using the Cisco (Altiga) 3030 for VPN access. (software ver. 3.5) RSA SecureID server on internal network provides authentication services. We need to map IP addresses to individual users,so that we can "push" DICOM images to the client. It is my understanding, that the only way to assign static IP's is if we configure the users as 'internal" to the 3030.

I would like to maintain the stronger RSA authentication, is there a way to do this?

Yes, you can configure address assignment from external authentication server (RSA) and have addresses assigned by the same authentication server. See:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/vpn/vpn3000/rel3_5_1/config/address.htm#xtocid4

which says:

Check the Use Address from Authentication Server check box to assign IP addresses retrieved from an authentication server on a per-user basis. If you are

using an authentication server (external or internal) that has IP addresses configured, we recommend using this method.
