Stopping the router telnet service ?

HI,

I've configured a 1601 for ISP dialup using an external modem. I want to lock all the services down so that anyone sniffing the connection sees nothing.

I have turned of IP HTTP SERVER and FINGER, but cant find a way of turning off / disabling the TELNET SERVICE. The ip address of the serial interface is negotiated on dialup and I'm not using TRANSPORT INPUT ALL on the LINE interface.

I'm currently also using the following access list :-

access-list 100 deny ip any host 172.16.200.255

access-list 100 permit ip any any

dialer-list 1 protocol ip list 100

enabling only my network to see out.

Any help or suggestions on locking down port 23 on the serial interface would be greatfully received.

Phil.
