We did a demo of surfcontrol with port span set for the pix port and the surfcontrol port. Both boxes were connected to a Cat6. Worked like a charm. You can also do this with other cat switches as long as you can span the port.
If you had to span ports then you used pass-by. SuperScout says that it can do Pass-through but I don't see anything in the manual about it for the NT flavor of Superscout. A Cisco Engineer told me that the pix can make calls out to other content filters besides Websense but is Superscout set up to receive redirect http request?
