Switches - routers -PAsswords

I finished my CCNA certification 3 months ago.I was working on the network and i had to install a switch

Catalyst 2900 series. OK i started doing some tests and then setting some password etc. Well I have this particular switch which i locked out. I put a password to the console and then now the switch does not respond to the password that i though i put and for that matter it does not respond to any

password at all. Embarrasing, yes.

Now there is a way to reset this switch to a default factory setup type of thing ?

Can I in any manner reset the console password?

Or Should I return the switch to Cisco and explain what happened ?

I will apreciate any help or idea.

Jorge,

You don't specify the Catalyst 2900 model but you can find here all the Cisco equipment recovery procedure

The webpage was excelent. It solved my problem.

Well I can see that there is really a lot I need to know about switches and routers. The course was an start point ( i can see that now ) but there is a lot to learn. Some times there is so much that

I do not know where to start ( smile ), but in time I will get it.

Thanks again.
