tacacs+ authentication against ACS 2.3(x) solaris always fails

I have several routers and switches. Authentication and exchange of keys were working without problems until yesterday evening. Nothing has changed, because only I have access to all devices and the ACS 2.3(x) machine.

I have AAA in use, tacacs and radius. Some devices only know about radius, others only about tacacs. They authenticate against ACS with a key. Radius devices are able to exchange keys successfully, tacacs devices always get following error message: INVALID AUTH......(check key)

I removed the tacacs key ... command on each router, put it back, reloaded ACS several times, removed the NAS out of the ACS and put it back again. I always get the same error message from every device which is running tacacs.

Any ideas how this could happen?

Thanks, Mario

I wonder if your license expired or something. I would call TAC if I were you.

Thank for the hint. Could really be a licensing problem!
