Hi,
Is it possible to do TCP load balancing in a PIX 515E (running 6.3(4)) similar to IOS routers? We have two web servers sitting in the DMZ that we want to appear to the outside as single server. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Hi .. you can configure a network load balancing scenario between the two web servers. You need to refer to Microsoft doco for setting this up. Do a search for NLB ( network load balancing )
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303751/en-us
On the pIX you only need to create a static NAT for the virtual ( clustered) IP address .. the load balancing will be done by the two servers.
I hope it helps ... please rate it if it does !!!

Hi,
It's not possible to do TCP load balancing using PIX.You have to use the dedicated load balancing device to accomplish this.I suggest you to use Cisco CSS Arrowpoint,BIGIP or Alteon for this.
Kindly let me know if you need more details on the dedicated load balancer with configuration.
cheers
