Telnet through firewall for software application

In our current firewall, an AS400 firewall, we use telnet to connect to some secure side software applications. We are currently installing a Pix 525 firewall. While reading documentation, I understand the pix does not allow telnet to the outside interface. Does it allow telnet through the firewall if we use a NAT translation statement? And if so, how would the telnet statment work?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Telnet through firewall for software application

Hi Greg,

The following document contains info on allowing Telnet connection to inside and Outside Interface.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_62/config/sysmgmt.htm#xtocid24

I hope this helps,

Regards.
