Terminal Server 2000

Can you install and run the CISCO VPN Dialer on a Win2000 terminal server? If I launch the dialer from the console connection it works. If I launch the dialer from a terminal server client, it hangs while trying to authenicated the user. Any info on this subject? Thanks - Scott Campbell

Re: Terminal Server 2000

It mgiht be died during the ip address assingement process. Normally after you pass the authentication, you will get the ip address, wins, dns and other mode-config stuff from the VPN server. The new ip address might confuse the terminal server client.

So far as I know, we did not support this feature in the VPN client.

Not sure it will be supported in the future or not.

If someone can control the VPN dialer through win2000 termial server, there is an chance he can might launch a security attack through this way.

It might not be a good idea to support this feature as I thought.
