tftp server

I have setup tftp-server on a pix and I am able to ping the device that will be the tftp-server. I am unable to successfully get the file to the server which is my workstation. Here is the error message that I receive:

pix# wr net

Building configuration...

TFTP write 'edr-pix' at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx on interface 1

Timed out attempting to connect

[FAILED]

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is my tftp-server

This is what I have in pix:

tftp-server inside xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx pix hostname configs

It puts the file there, but there is nothing in it.

Re: tftp server

Hi Todd,

Did you check the permissions on the tftpboot directory?

Moreover, a test you could do is try to download something from the tftp server to the PIX.

Thanks,

John
