time stamp on logging

Hi

How could I change the timestamp to something like year.mont.day.hour.minute etc. The logging always shows like below. I am assuming 602301 is anther type of timestamp. How can I read it and how can I change it?

Pix 6.31 THanks

602301: sa created, (sa) sa_dest= 192.168.1.145, sa_prot= 50, sa_spi= 0xdc15a3e4(3692405732), sa_trans= esp-3des esp-md5-hmac , sa_conn_id= 4

Re: time stamp on logging

hi

have u tried

PIX(config)# service timestamps log datetime localtime show-timezone msec year

to timestamps logs

PIX(config)# service timestamps debug datetime localtime show-timezone msec year

to timestamps debugs

given that you ve already configured the clock of your pix with the format you want, or you pointed your pix to use an NTP server for accurate timing for it and all the devices on your network.

Re: time stamp on logging

PIX(config)# service timestamps log datetime localtime show-timezone$

Usage: service {resetinbound|resetoutside}

It seems there is no this option. I know router has this.

Any idea?

THanks

Re: time stamp on logging

Hi,

Prior to version 7.0 you can only get timestamps on syslogs sent to a syslog server - not on locally logged messages. From 7.0 you can also timestamp locally logged messages.
