We have a 6513 with CSM module as our core switch with two 2500 series routers as perimeter routers with FW IOS and some defined ACL's. Our main firewall (PIX 525) is also connected to the same VLAN on the same switch. We are going to replace two perimeter routers with two new routers with redundancy features as a managed solution from our ISP. Our ISP does not give us any access to new routers and therefore it's hard to manage our ACL's or do any troubleshooting. My question is:
Can I somehow implement traffic filtering (layer 3) in 6513 in lue of ACL's in perimeter routers? (so filtered traffic will be received at main firewall same as before).
