Trunk and PIX performance?

Hi all together!

I consider two ways for PIX deployment with and without trunk mode usage on PIX ports.

Does anyone know how influence trunk mode on throughput of PIX 525? Where does perform taging & untaging in CPU or NIC chip?

I dont understand either of your questions. By influence throughput, do you mean QoS? The PIX is not yet capable of QoS but it is on the roadmap and I have been told it is not too far from release.

Are you asking on the difference in performance when using a physical interface on the Pix vs a logical interface created using 802.1q?
