Trunking Cisco AP and ASA

Hi all,

I think I know the answer to my post but I would like a second opinion.

I am trying to trunk a Cisco 1200 AP to an ASA 5505. The AP must have a native VLAN on VLAN 1 according to this link:

The ASA 5505 supports trunking but no native VLAN support.

Then I assume that if I want to do this, I'll have to put a switch in the middle, right?

The other option is to use a WLAN controller and tunnel all VLAN within the LWAPP tunnel.

Any other suggestions?

you are correct, that in trunking mode, there is no native vlan support.

Cisco makes some inexpensive switches that would probably suit your needs.
