Unable to login to PIX 501

We recently received a new PIX 501. Another person had initially set up the configuration. According to this person, they did not change any passwords or create any accounts. However I'm unable to login using the defaults. My question is how do I reset to factory defaults? I've followed the instructions found in the Quick Start Guide to no avail. Is there any issues/solutions regarding login that may be causing me this grief?

You don't mention which version, but:

Hi,

As mentioned in the previous response, you can delete the passwords by following the article @

After that, if you want to restore the PIX to factory defaults, use the command:

configure factory-default
