Upgrade from DES to 3DES on 1710

I have purchased 4 1710 Routers that are currently using DES on the tunnels. We left them at DES because we ran into an issue and decided to deal with it when we were all done. I know that on the PIX you can find out if you have the 3DES license with show ver. I dont see it in the 1710 listed with a show ver. Is there another command to see if 3DES is capable and I gues my question is does an additional 3DES license need to be purchsed? If so does anyone have the part number?

Thanks

James

Re: Upgrade from DES to 3DES on 1710

Hi there,

In "sh ver", you have to see what feature set you are using.

For example, if you have (C2600-IK9S-M) :

C2600 => the image is for 2600 platform

I => ip based image

K9 => 3DES capable

s => has PLUS features

You can decode other features by yourself by going through
