I was able to succesfully upgrade the PDM to version 2.1(1) on a PIX 506. I say it was successful because sh ver shows the new version and the upgrade appeared to run without any errors. The problem is that now it will not accept my login credentials. I used to login to the previous version as Admin and the enable password. Can someone tell me if the user name has changed. I have also tried using PIX as the username and the telnet password, this also fails. I have verified that the IP of my machine does have access to use the PDM.
Any help would be great,
Chris

What version are you running on the pix?
Can you try logging in with blank username and the enable password?
hope this helps,

Please try the following words as:
Username=cisco
Password= - (I mean blank, empty)
These are the factory defaults for the PIX firewall, and PIX might recall its factory default passwords.

Hi Chris,
did you try to leave the username empty? By default you only have to fill in the enable password, and not the username (in the pdm login window).

Tom
