Upgrading Pix 7.0(2) to 7.0(5)

Hi,

I'm in the process of upgrading my PIX515E from 7.0(2) to the new 7.0(5) image.

First of all i've upgraded ADSM to the 5.05 version from within the ASDM itself via Tools > Upload Image from PC, and overwrite the current file.

Secondly I tryed to do the same for the image, so I just say "overwrite" when selecting the current flash:/image and it starts uploading.

After a while I get the message "Image nog installedFlash open failed"

I haven't got enough diskspace for two image files and this normally should work right?

Please advice.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

I think should take console / telnet of your PIX515E

and user "show flash or dir flash:" to see any installed OS (old or newer) and delete with "delete flash: image.bin

then again see the dir flash: to see available space,

now you can install image from tftp, https or use ASDM, what ever you want to use.

Hi,

I thought that the image.bin contained my current settings and that an import of the running-config was part of the upgrade.

So the image.bin is just a "static" file?
