URL rewriting

Hi all,

I have seen this question posted previously, but with no replies. The company I work for invested in Oracle Apps. They want to present certain applications to the internet. The problem is that Oracle seem to insist on using port 8001 for their applications. This is a problem for users behind firewalls that do not allow 8001 out. I could map 80 to 8001, but the problem is that Oracle codes the port numbers in their HTTP links as well.

So my question is if there is a device that can rewrite information passed to the client (for example, the server says the link points to www.co.com:8001 and the device replaces 8001 with 80 before it is sent to the client).

Thanks!

Jacques

It's possible if you have CSS. For more information refer the url given below,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/ps792/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080157875.html#1352809

This can be easily done with F5 BigIP load

balancer.
