Using AAA Authentication for ports other than 80

Does AAA authentication from the outside to inside only work on port 80?

I've configured the PIX 525 (6.2) to allow an incoming connection on port 5800 and 80 to a specific IP address for which a static exists. I've also configured AAA authentication for that connection.

The port 80 connection works fine once a valid username and pw have been entered, and then I can then access the address on port 5800. But if I clear the uauth then try and connect to 5800 first I get the VNC logon but can't get any further and I'm not prompted for a username and pw.

So if I connect to port 80 first all is ok but if I try and connect to 5800 first the connection fails.

Thanks

As far as I know aaa supports http, ftp and telnet only. I think version 6.3 added https.
