Using smartcards/pki for dial-up access to Cisco 5300

Hi Networkers,

Did you know a way to implement the following solution?

Client: windows 2000, but some 98/me

Access Server: AS5300 / IOS 12

CA: Entrust, user's certificates stored on smartcards.

Authentication: PKI based using the users' smartcard.

How can I set the AS5300 to accept dial-up users authentication using the smartcards?

I know it can be done but I can’t find any sample configs for you. You’ll have to open a trouble-ticket with Cisco.
