Using VPN as a backup to frame relay connection

I have a central site with 5 remote offices; i'm using Frame Relay to connect the offices to the central site.

I want to user Internet and VPN's to have a backup to the frame relay connections.

What is the best technical solution ???.

Dynamic routing ?

static routing with different weigths ????

GRE tunnels ???

IPSEC tunnels ????

Is it possible ???

thanks in advance

general answer; yes, it's possible

how to implement it depends also on your current setup; e.g. are you already using dynamic routing protocols ? does the platform you're using support dynamic routing protocols ?

You must use IPSEC tunnels & may want to use GRE tunnels.

Thanks, for your answer, MARTIJN .

Actually i'm using static routing, and if possible, i would like to continue using it. Statics routes with 0 weigth in the frame relay and static routers with bigger weigth as backup.

I think it's better conceptually to use IPSEC tunnels and not GRE tunnels.

then floating static to VPN tunnel is indeed best solution; should use perfectly.
