It is definately possible to get the Win2000 L2TP/IPSec client to work with the CVPN3000 and the sample for doing this is present at: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/vpn3k_l2tp.html, although this is a doable solution but as all interoperabilities, you hit a couple of road-blocks before it actually starts working. As for why the Cisco VPN client is better, I guess it just has more features users can use which really help you be a better admin for your users, as they can use all the upcoming features which you can check out at:
