virtual adapter not recognized by OS

Am having an issue on a Windows 2003 Terminal Server where the VPN client will no longer connect. I can see in the log that there is the following error at about line 61;

61 07:49:13.746 07/26/06 Sev=Warning/3 CVPND/0xA340000D

The virtual adapter was not recognized by the operating system.

62 07:49:13.746 07/26/06 Sev=Warning/2 CM/0xE310000A

The virtual adapter failed to enable

Have reinstalled the client, tried other versions, switched off etrust AV, Windows firewall, etc. Now running out of ideas...

Re: virtual adapter not recognized by OS

Lanconsulting,

Try using the VAInstaller.exe in the Cisco Systems/VPN Client/ directory. You can install/remove the virtual adapter and check if one exists on the OS.

Which version of client is it?

Re: virtual adapter not recognized by OS

Will try VAInstaller.exe.

I have tried 3 different versions of the client.

Originally was using v4.0.4

and then tried v4.6.0.0021 and am now on v4.8.00.0440

thanks
