Hi, when I mirror VLAN 3 to two different destination ports, the server administator (172.17.4.10 IP address of the server which collects call records) says that they receive each an every packet twice. Has anyone run into such kind of a problem ? This is a 6500 chassis.
Is the collection server connected to both of those ports? Of course that would be obvious if the server had two NICs and was connected to two ports and listening for traffic on both NICs. Besides the obvious I've seen this happen other ways. Make sure the system doesn't have two different packet capture drivers. This has happened to me when I've had PCAP and Microsoft Network Capture drivers both installed on the machine. Also it could be a software bug, what Call Recording application are you using?
